Taking it by decade, below the cut:


Really enjoyed discovering "Just The Once" on Metric's most recent album.

I feel there's a lot to love about the melancholic vibes of "Paul Is Alive" by EL VY.

Say what you will about The Protomen, but no one can deny their commitment to the bit, and "The Hounds" has absolutely no reason to go this hard.

It's an absolute shame that so few of the people I meet in the US are familiar with Savuka, but I figure "These Days" is a solid introduction to their back catalog.

For whatever reason, I've always had a soft spot for "Floating City," released by the short lived project Y Kant Tori Read prior to Tori Amos finding much more success on her own.

Finally, I figure just about everyone owes it to themselves to listen to Fela Kuti's "Zombie" in its entirety.
