didn't get the new steam ui update until today because i'm one of those people who doesn't restart their laptop for unhealthy amounts of time.
i'm pleasantly surprised with how acceptable it is. especially since it's feeling maybe slightly more performant than the old ui? maybe i'm just trippin and/or i'm not accounting for some confounding variables here. but at the very least it's nice that steam has a consistent visual style now, they had the new library page just kind of sittin there doin its thing by itself for a long time.
really my only gripe so far is that i think they made the corner notifications slightly larger which i'm not a huge fan of, but that's a minor nitpick tbch, i'll get used to it.
but boy is it nice to have a ui overhaul that is actually just a visual change that doesn't change perfectly good ui for no reason
