(furiously scribbling in notepad) Tim Buckley sleeps dressed like his favorite cartoon character, Rover Dangerfield. In his dreams, he is the very dog he idolizes.
My favorite thing about this is all four panels are required for the joke to land as well as it did.
Take the first panel away? Doesn't emphasize as much how long he's been sleeping, and how sudden the XBOX is.
Second panel? Same comic as the first panel taken away.
Third? You remove the punchline.
Fourth? Doesn't emphasize how he just goes straight back to sleep after he knocks out a guy with an XBOX.
