so i was going through some old files on my pc and found a 4 gb avi file called "lgyellow1.AVI". i figured it was another corrupt video, and sure enough, when i opened it in windows media player, it only showed one frame of video. to try and eek something else out of it, i opened it in vlc, and was greeted with... well, just watch this.
literally how is it even possible that this was recorded like this. i recorded this in 2015. why did i have a screen capturing software that outputted to avi?? and apparently did this???
if you're wondering, the rest of the video is actually intact and normal for about another hour and a half, albeit with a significant audio desync.
the stripes at the end actually go on for longer, but i think it switches to 30 fps in a 60 fps container for the rest of the video which davinci resolve seems to really not be a fan of.
