its still wild to me how much more i like the casio mario world version of Passion Pit's The Reeling than the actual song

like, check the versions out:

the mixing on the romhack is just so good man. i love how the bass on it sounds, how the drums are super punchy, how clear the synth bells are. i dunno, the real version just doesn't have the same clarity that i like.

i wonder if anyone's made a mashup of the two--vocals from the real version mixed with the casio mario world instrumentation
