the article explains how to add this as a "search engine" in firefox and chrome on windows/mobile
website doesn't have specific instructions for android mobile firefox but you can do it there also:
- open a new tab; tap the address bar icon in the bottom left showing the logo of your current default search engine
- "Search settings" at the bottom of the menu; "Manage alternative search engines", the second option; "+ Add search engine" at the bottom
- name it as you please and use this as the search string URL:
https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14
- save. you can deselect vanilla google from the list of checkboxes here
- back out and enter "Default search engine" to set this new query as your default
