i have a game i desperately would love to at least attempt to make one day many years from now when i truly have free time, this is like my dream game idea #1, but i'm curious if this appeals to anyone else or if it would truly just be for me
it'd have (optional) hunting and you might occasionally have to scare/fend off beasts and the like but there's no roaming packs of monsters/badguys/skeletons or what have you.
it would have characters with their own little stories but no "main quest." big areas (a big open world seems to be a lot to handle at an indie scale!) that may have a town or two small settlements or a rare city.
probably some procgen for sanity's sake but with some handcrafted areas for story/character stuff. towns and the like.
this game would not have a focus on building. you would cook, maintain your stuff (gun, vehicle, etc), set up temporary camps, etc. debating if i want the player to have to butcher hunted beasts or not. i'll ponder it later, low priority. you would have a vehicle and travel from place to place, some sort of nosy drifter busybody.
