I've talked about it before, but it's insane that as a black person in America, you're taught/learn from an early age that people don't like you, don't trust you, but somehow know everything about you (that they've learned from stereotypes and pop culture) and you're just supposed to accept it as a part of life
Especially as someone with mental illness!
I learned how to swim when I was like 5-years-old and do you know how many times I've heard "I didn't black people could swim"
or listening to other music besides hip hop and R&B
or playing videogames other than Madden or fighting games
That and also being the "autistic black person" who's like the "odd one out" or something like that (speaking as a autistic black person myself).
don't even get me started on that shit.
