CyberConnect2's Hiroshi Matsuyama, who shared some controversial and frankly dumb opinions regarding the uptake of new console hardware:
https://twitter.com/PIROSHI_CC2/status/1673835203821981698

Put simply, he's been informally polling the audience at the student lectures he's been giving about the gaming hardware they own, and has determined that only ~ 10% of game industry aspirants owning a PS5 is representative of some sort of impediment to the future of the industry, and that those who don't feel compelled to stay on top of every little industry movement are failing to meet the minimum requirements to meaningfully contribute to the advancement of the field. His comments kicked off a ton of discussion and he's chipped in with clarifications and addendums but he can't help but be so bullish that people don't seem especially interested in meeting him half-way.

(He did later mention Steam, btw, but even the high representation of PC players doesn't meet his approval because he spoke to some people who seemed blasé about missing FF16 at launch or whatever)

One could chip away at these comments from a million different angles but I'm mostly just wondering if there's a single person on earth who thinks of CC2 as industry vanguards...
