The (first) Japanese version of HOD Remake does not allow zombies to be dismembered, due to Forever Entertainment wanting to release with a CERO D rating, and the game accommodates this change in the worst way possible: shooting a segment of a zombie that would typically be destroyed instead turns a different colour to signify that it's been shot, but the zombies don't consistently alter their behaviour (sometimes they aggro, sometimes they don't) "destroyed" body parts are now completely impervious to bullets, so players end up being screwed over by zombies blocking or tanking shots thanks to their new invincible appendages swinging all over the screen. (You also cannot shoot hostages in this version, and they did nothing to work around that change, either.)
They didn't bother to advertise any of these changes pre-launch, so the remake's reputation is understandably even worse in Japan than elsewhere; it doesn't help that this publisher's remakes quite routinely contain shoddy JP locs, amateurish font choices, etc. The publisher did finally address all the changes a few weeks ago... by releasing a second CERO Z version that people have to buy again if they want to play the remake without compromises.
