not seeing a lot of anything over there rn but what I do see the most of is JP folk being like "guess it's time to finally push [mastondon/misskey/etc]" and then immediately, immediately about-facing

grapevine suggests everyone is going back to mixi for real this time
Yeah, been hearing a lot of Mixi and... Discord? Not really sure how that is supposed to be better than a walled-off Twitter, but I guess at least Discord won't rate-limit users. Though AUGH I don't want to join more Discord servers just to follow people augh
Definitely prefer misskey.io to mixi lol, would rather follow people on ActivityPub than sign up for a mixi
Oh man, what would I give for J!Twitter indie devs to move over to Mastodon, please someone needs to make a mastodon.gamedev.place but for Japanese folks PLEASE
Saw these pop up on my Masto timeline and got hopeful that people were at least thinking about making the switch:

I see it being thrown around by people of a certain age bracket and while I'd personally rather not have to spend any more time there than I already do, I wonder if it might end up being the best-worst option in the long run
is the about-face coming on the heels of realizing that the new user experience on mastodon sucks lol
that and a lot of people simply realising the fediverse doesn't suit them, or that places with no traffic aren't worth their time, or simple inertia
yeah, regarding the OP, for an indie dev who needs eyeballs it definitely seems like... not the kind of place that serves your needs...
