...Athena, the publisher/developer most famous for Dezaemon, a series of STG-builder software released across Famicom, Super Famicom, PlayStation, Saturn and Nintendo 64, as well as their long-running multi-platform Pro Mahong Kiwame series. The vast majority of their output was Japan-only, but people might recognise their arcade shooter Daioh, their SNES shooter Biometal (the one Activision crammed full of 2 Unlimited tunes) or their Makaimura-in-disguise arcade game J.J.Squawkers.
This might seem like an odd purchase for a company that specialises in arcade reissues, given how few arcade games they put out, but they've been teasing "Consumer/Console Archives" for a minute and, if what I've heard about the sales of PS Classics Dezaemon+ is reliable, they could probably recoup the cost of the entire catalogue with that one game alone.
