Columbus Circle's producing JP-loc'd cartridge versions of the Stone Protectors brawler, originally developed by Eurocom and published by Kemco for NA SNES in 1994 and SFC in 1995; a version was also planned for Sega Genesis but never officially released, but vintage game rent-seekers Piko Interactive acquired and commercialised a modified version of that prototype last year.
I don't know what possessed Columbus Circle to gamble on a game with no points of interest beyond being a tie-in to an also-ran license with virtually no presence in Japan (and little elsewhere, really), but I do find it interesting that they've produced such overtly not-western key art for these versions, given that Kemco's SFC version, as with so much of their output, really leaned on the you-ge aesthetic as a selling point. Maybe it was just an indulgence on Piko's part, iunno.
