speaking of Super Noda-ge, I decided to check in on the promised localisation of Super Noda-ge WORLD, which they hadn't mentioned in forever... and it turns out they added an English loc back in July and just didn't tell anyone, nor did they get around to publishing it overseas? Okay.
I also discovered they just wrapped up crowdfunding on a third game, Super Noda-ge MAKER, with the gimmick that the games are procedurally generated based on "Noda AI", ie a series of increasingly inane questions/prompts that'll eventually spit out a game that may or may not be playable, and may or may not be manually editable by the end user. The other crowdfunding campaigns were huge successes but this one barely passed 50% of their goal, but they switched to some flex-funding site for this campaign so it doesn't really matter.
There's virtually no non-JP video coverage of any of these games online but I did find this quick rundown of the first game, Super Noda-ge PARTY, that should illuminate the many ways they straddle the fence between "digital shitpost" and "actually kinda neat". WORLD includes a few of these same games with online play, plus a bunch more new ones, and because some big companies got on board as backers, it has stuff like a Cygames-sponsored Shadowverse parody, a Capcom-approved Makaimura parody with the likeness of some comedian, etc.
