losing my mind that on our casual watch of Star Trek TOS we got to an episode with sex pollen and it turns out it (most likely) is the originator of sex pollen as a trope (This Side of Paradise, 1967)
...because the TOS one wasn't horny enough for him. (It gets a pass for shirtless swashbuckling Sulu and emotional Spock).
The Naked Time - TOS s1e6 (1966)
The Naked Now - TNG s1e3 (1987)
The TOS one is especially all him. He put D.C Fontana on the script, and then horned it up after she handed it in. After it aired, she asked to have her name taken off it.
While the script was given a good reaction by almost everyone, the Roddenberry pattern of dealing with scripts befell it. After a staffer turned in the official second draft of the script, they were not allowed to touch it again. No matter how good a script appeared to be, it would be rewritten by Gene Roddenberry. If possible, scenes of sexual content would be inserted into the script. When two such scenes were put into 'The Naked Now', in addition to other scenes which I felt debased the female characters of the series, I put my sentiments into a frankly worded memo of comment on the script. My comments were ignored.
