Every now and then I think about that local news report interviewing some parent that was very upset about the Super Nintendo. People like to laugh at that now with hindsight but, honestly she kinda had a point? Paying a few hundred dollars for a new box that requires new games and ultimately... does the same thing? Like yes it's more powerful but if you look at it at a high level, it does the same thing.
30+ years later and we're still doing the same shit.
