I guess this is to emulate the superchats on Youtube, which is a system I'm not familiar with? Anyway, they're hugely disruptive, and while I'm fine with disruptive redeems on stream, I'm not a fan of having zero control over what shape those redeems take.

That there's no way to shut them off, and also zero customization beyond setting prices, is patently absurd. I could see myself getting use out of a channel point-like bit redemption system, but not if it's forced upon me in a single specific form.

Also the base prices for all of these are sub-$1?! It's nightmarishly spammable, and they didn't even give anyone warning that they were implementing this. I'm very fortunate that no one in my audience abused this today.

Yep! Rolling it into the space where Channel Points are supposed to be is also a real problem with it!

By the way, new issue with this I found out about after the fact: All of these new features just don't show up in VoDs! So if the streamer reacts to it and someone looks back after the fact, they'll see a whole lot of nothing. It's very strange and feels half-assed in its implementation on basically every level.
