Found out that a local restaurant and community staple nearby is closing due to the landlord both raising rent to over 2x market price and the landlord also failing to pay for upkeep costs to fix code violations. It sucks how often people owning property that they do not live in seems to be leading to property that is poorly maintained yet still expensive for the folks who are using it.
