I've been making name generators for a while. It's a bit of a hobby of mine at this point. I've posted a few of them in the past and I generally tend to make new ones when prompted by my own thoughts or others'.
Lately, I've been listening to a bunch of Friends at the Table's Hieron seasons and there's a character Uklan Tel (shout-outs to fatt.wiki) whose name is not one that I could have previously generated, to my knowledge.
Thinking about what kind of algorithm could approximate a name like that, I came up with the idea of making names from cutting out parts of different words, rather than just breaking apart one like I had for one of those Star Wars generators. I'm fairly pleased with the result:
This tool is good for if you need a name that sounds sort of familiar but not quite like it's just an English word. Unlike the break-apart names previously, these names can continue to be quite long because each word that gets broken up can start off fairly long as well. I've included a slider for approximating min-word-length in case you want some extra long ones.
