Every screen has a facial recognition camera and only plays the explosions when you aren't looking. This, incidentally, makes everything you look at gently bathed in explosion colors. Forever golden hour.
I feel like they always neglect the role of "shutting your eyes" when saying "cool people don't look at explosions"
