the fact that these tags are entire communities effectively is like. that’s what these are for. technorati ass tagging system. hashtags were a mistake.
I love that we're getting to a size here where there are "commonly used tags" that are commonly used among potentially disparate communities! And I love that because of the ability to do spaces and capital letters and stuff, there are ones that go against the sort of sterile homogeneity of hashtags in Instagram and Twitter
