I saw this post from @piesaac about how to use word rhythms and it reminded me that I wanted to continue my previous post around writing web tools for categorization and usage of words and their pronunciations.
When I consume media, I like to think about how the names of the characters in them flow:
Cass-i-an An-dor
Gid-e-on Nav
Ed-mund Hitch-cock
Fred-er-ick de-Bones-by
Inspired by this and the fact that I could already look up the rhythms for a given set of words, I just made a new name generator. It takes in whatever words or names you want. It will spit out a randomly generated word whose word rhythm matches for each word inputted, provided that that original word was in CMU's phonetic dictionary.
