wasn't thrilled by the part of the latest KR Geats episode where they had Neon and Keiwa all sad like "Damn... guess we really couldn't do anything without Ace after all." Feels like a bad direction for characters the show is clearly struggling to figure out how to handle.
feels especially weird since Keiwa already got eliminated and came back, so when Ace does it too the effect is less "Ace is such a cool guy who can scheme through anything" and more like "Yeah I guess you could do that on purpose if you planned for it."
my armchair rewrite is I probably would have flipped the order of surprise eliminations so Ace and then Keiwa get eliminated and come back. Ace does it through a surprise gambit and wins the first round (thus prompted the GM to try and eliminate him purposefully next time) and then Keiwa does it too and it becomes a stepping stone in his obvious arc of becoming the second protagonist.
