I've been noticing the same. When I posted about getting laid off on Twitter and Mastodon, I got maybe 5x as many likes and reblogs on Mastodon. Feels like twitter really is a dying website.
Yeah, obviously it's gonna vary from person to person because you and I have made efforts to adopt those platforms, but it's really clear that Twitter is now mostly bluecheck grifters and folks who haven't found an alternative they like. I hope some of those folks eventually land at Cohost in particular, but I'm also seeing that the main reason Twitter has ANY juice left is that Bluesky and Threads both fumbled the bag pretty bad.
