I fixed an issue with the bots on Bluesky that popped up late last week (just needed to bump up a library), but other than that, it's been all job hunting stuff.

I had interviews every day except Friday last week. One was a complete bust, as the company (otherwise pretty good) has to drug test (including weed) due to federal contracts. I'm glad that they were at least nice about telling me upfront. Another was a contract thing for some martech company that I guess would be fine to pay the bills for a few months.

The other two were for a company that's been moving pretty quickly through the process. Both interviews came after an HR screen, and bizarrely, both were with the same two engineers. The first interview was pretty freeform, but the second was a live coding challenge (bad!) in CodePen (worse!). I did alright on it, although I thought it was poorly designed. (I actually broke one of their LeetCode-type problems because their tests didn't cover all use cases.)

They possibly could make an offer this week, but I don't think I can even consider taking it. For one thing, the two engineers are both right-wing weirdos (one interned for an awful Republican Congressman and it took minimal Googling to find the other one follows a ton of Trump-adjacent people on social media). The company itself is also bad news. It may have been alright at some point, but it was acquired a few years ago by private equity ghouls who gutted it so bad that there are open letters on LinkedIn from customers calling them out. There are a bunch of other little things, but tl;dr basically just rancid vibes front-to-back.

I have two initial interviews scheduled for this upcoming week, both of which are at places where I'd at least consider working. But really I'm just killing time at this point waiting to hear back from Archive. I've been told it's something on their end and to bear with them and be patient.

Best outcome for this upcoming week would be getting an offer from Archive. Worst outcome would be still not hearing anything back from Archive.
