It's been tough to get too focused this past week with my new job starting soon (tomorrow!).
I did manage to get my PlayStation Experiment work started back up again. I've been primarily focused on writing, research, and game capture. I did do a pass on voiceover for the Twinbee Taisen Puzzle-Dama segment, but I wasn't satisfied with how it came out. I'm definitely going to want to re-record at least parts of it, and it's probably easiest just to do another complete pass and stitch it together with any parts that I preferred in the first version.
I've been spending a surprisingly large amount of time working on the Pachi-Slot Hunter segment. It's not a particularly notable or deep game, but there are a lot of pachislot games on PS1. I haven't done an exact count, but it's possibly upwards of 100, nearly all of which are low-effort, low-quality releases that stick a couple recreations of pachislot machines on a disc. I'm only going to do a cursory review of those (and other similarly low-effort stuff), so I'm putting the big pachislot explainer in this one.
I'm still a ways off from even being able to put a rough date on when PlayStation Experiment 2 will be finished. It's going to take some time to figure out a schedule that fits in with my new job, and there's a lot of other stuff to take care of in my life that I've been putting off until I had regular income coming in again. But I'm starting to get the project back on track, and I'm expecting to get a pretty regular schedule going in 2024.
