Ended up writing about the technical side of fixing Classical Cats's music in ScummVM... including how I almost got tricked by 28-year-old defensive programming.
Reimplementing code from scratch instead of emulating the original doesn't always feel like "preservation" to me, but this is an interesting case since Mac emulators aren't set up to be able to run this kind of disc properly. This is a kind of preservation, making this disc accessible across a wide range of modern computers.
