Album of the day: Yasuaki Shimizu's Dementos. Secretly one of the great 80s new wave albums.
Like, sure, Music for Commercials and his work with Mariah and the Saxophonettes — all must-listens. But dude did some fantastic synth-pop. Subliminal is a great listen too!
Listening to it rn... yeah it's really good!
I only had listened to Kakashi by him before.
Reminds me a bit of Japan (the band with David Sylvian, not the country) and at times, Stewart Copeland's Spyro OST, because of the bass lines.
