What kinda controller you looking for? Need recommendations?
Yessssssss!! I've been playing with a Saturn pad, which is pretty good, but I've been thinking for a long time about switching to a joystick? Probably for shmups and other arcade games as much as fighting games.
If you mean an arcade stick, got a preference on what kind of parts? I hear people like the Mayflash ones for their flexibility & cross-platform support - they either come with Sanwa parts or generic stick/buttons and are easy to swap out for other ones, and the 500/700 models have plates for custom art.
I don't really know enough to have a strong preference. I have looked at the Mayflash ones before, though. Mostly I'd be using them with Macs (and maybe Linux/Windows if I ever get another computer), MiSTer, and maybe Switch or PS5? The cross-platform stuff would be really nice; I'd rather buy just one really good stick than a bunch of platform-specific ones.

The F700 looks like it's new since the last time I looked into this stuff, but it seems really nice. Wireless could be a really nice feature. And even if you don't have opinions on parts now, gives you flexibility to swap 'em out later.
Looks like its PS5 support is in PS4 compat mode, which is why they have to put up a compatibility list of what games it works with - in case that's a dealbreaker for you.
I ordered one! It should be here by the weekend. The wireless is a huge plus for me, and I mostly care about the PS5 for Arcade Archives, which are all PS4 anyway.
I gotta figure out how to set all this stuff up on a Mac, hopefully this weekend.
