I had my brain broken many years ago after getting friend-dumped over this, but I've finally gotten over it: It's 100% totally fine to be the one who initiates contact with a friend most of the time. This goes doubly if you're both neurodivergent. It's OK to be the initiator. Embrace the role.

AS SOMEONE WHO'S GOTTEN FRIEND DUMPED FOR BEING ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THIS. THANK YOU. I LOVE MY FRIENDS BUT I GOT SWISS CHEESE BRAIN I PROBABLY JUST FORGOT I CAN JUST TEXT PEOPLE OR GOT TOO ANXIOUS ABOUT IT LMAO (I'M GETTING BETTER ABOUT IT BUT MY FRIENDS WHO ACT AS PRIMARY INITIATOR TAKE A LOT OF STRESS OFF OF ME AND I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH)
