is that disk supposed to be in that orientation?
floppy drives have a slide-and-click mechanism, you can put one in the wrong way partway (as in this photo) but not all the way without using excessive force
I'm sure it was just an ad guy thinking noone would recognize a floppy without the metal part but it's so much fun imagining an alternate tech history where they invented automatically-self-orienting disk drives before CDs. like maybe a little jukebox arm in there that picks it up and turns it around
It's kind of incredible how I failed to see that until I read this comment and now I can't stop staring at it.
