The big news of the week is that the PlayStation Experiment episode 1 is finally live! I already wrote up a post-mortem + what's next post earlier this week, so I won't recap again here.
Besides that, I haven't been doing much else besides a bit of initial research and prep work for the next video (on the Saturn Japanese launch).
I spent most of this weekend doing taxes. All of my 2022 income was freelance, and taxes get a bit more complicated when you're juggling multiple 1099s plus tracking down receipts for business expenses.
The only other big news of the week is that once again, the dipshit running the Bird Site is fucking things up. Unless there's a major change of plans, Game Mag Print Ads and Rando Chrontendo will stop working on Twitter this Thursday. I know that I could use something like Selenium or Puppeteer to continue to automate posting without the API, but I just don't care enough to bother at this point. I get the feeling there will be some rule against that anyway, and that it will be arbitrarily enforced against the fun bots and not the spam bots.
Both bots will continue to live on at Cohost, Mastodon, and Tumblr. I may extend them to other platforms down the line depending on what alternatives emerge/become viable.
