i propose we modify the metric system to be spherical, where the base unit for n-dimensional volume is the volume of an n-dimensional hyper sphere of diameter 1 m (instead of the normal hyper cube).
so the base unit of length is still 1 m, the base unit of area is 1 sm^2 = π/4 m^2, volume is 1 sm^3 = π/6 m^3, and so on
