okay, quick ramble. am i the only one who has to consciously think about how to express ratios in language? what i mean is e.g. "twice as much" vs. "two times more". that's not the same thing. "two times more" would be three times the original. same goes for a "200% increase".
maybe that's just me, but every time i read someone saying "x times more"/"an x% increase" i always wonder if they actually mean that or if they mean it's a factor of the original :(
