this is the next phase of the country's "la la la i cant hear you" policy of covid. its not a majority of people, its like. one in 50 or so of the people i run into. noticeably more scatterbrained than years prior
people aren't just pretending it's over, they're actively hostile to anyone who suggests it isn't
if i'm wearing a mask (yes, i am) i get some shitty comment yelled at me from a man in a truck1 about, i dunno, i'd say every three days now?
(one, ooooooh big man, acting tough while you're already running away in your armoured wagon. two, one of these days i'm gonna snap and break a window)
but it wasn't anything like this even in the depths of the worst of it, or during the asshole contrarian pushback and convoy shit
