honestly, 100% same. i do use linux as a daily driver but sometimes i think about how a different distro might be like, or using kde instead of gnome. but i absolutely despise setting up a new os. ik some people do that for fun but that one time i switched my laptop to arch was so stressful i had to just not computer for a while.
that being said the reason why i switched to linux is that for some completely irrational reason i absolutely despise windows. i mean there are absolutely legit reasons to do so, but that’s not my main issue. if i use windows for too long i want to scream and cry and throw my laptop out of the window and i can’t explain why :(

i guess this time around it's being motivated by microsoft's latest run of ai nonsense, which still has a element of opposition on principle to it but it is also driven by "well fuck now my computer is just straight up adversarial towards me". unfortunate though that a lot of the linux ecosystem is also adversarial in the "why doesn't anything i need fucking work" direction
