in one of the books from the captain underpants series, there’s a joke where Melvin (the nerd) (also he has superpowers at this point in time) burns the initials BM into the ground with his laser eyes. it’s supposed to stand for “Big Melvin”, but the joke (which i did not get at the time) was that BM also means bowel movement, as in pooping.
some time during my childhood, i arranged with my parents to use the word “Melvin” to tell them when I had to poop and couldn’t just say that because I was in public, in reference to this. and it’s just kind of stuck and now “Melvin” means “I’m taking a shit”
so we should call it “melvin posting” if we want to look presentable? 🤔
