I've always loved the texture and shading of your drawings. Was it a conscious decision to develop that style or did it happen naturally?

I don't actually think you really can make super conscious decisions around what your style will be or at least I can't. The style of your art is something that develops over time, influenced by what art you're drawn too, the form you're working in, the tools you use, your peers, the little things you find yourself doing as you draw and a lot more.
it's honestly just something that comes with drawing a whole lot and changes all the time.
