what's up, gull and such here, recent "wait there's more than one of us" realizers. whoops!
still giant robot fans, still pmd: explorers enthusiasts. imagine we are wearing a big button that says "ask us about Void Stranger". you should play all the games we like right now. the media backlog continues to grow ever further, and finally fucking continuing Initial D slips further and further out of reach.....
yeah the ending sequence is great.
I spent the past week going after Cif and she absolutely did not come to play but I felt like a god when I finally got her. Highly recommend going back eventually; one of those things where the struggle itself lends it more weight.
genuinely had so much fun learning the patterns and their tells and getting my ass beaten in for a couple hours while i gathered the floor necessary to hit em even if i did end up finding the shortcut after a while. really felt like learning to fight Despair all over again, just on a tile grid this time (and, er, without the lives). definitely one to return to and give the proper amount of fight
ahaha i found the easy kill like four attempts in and my immediate reaction was "wait, but i was having fun! let me do that again i'll get it for real this time!!"
you really should, if only to see cif's entire monologue. not even to win though that IS the real challenge
(Also, super congratulations on making it this far down. You've come so far. - Quail.)
Is there a shortcut back to that point? I'll probably do it eventually anyway but the idea of replaying both the whole unlocking-the-end sequence and the ending itself is a bit daunting...
(and thank you! It wasn't purely by my own efforts, most memorably I truly was not thinking on the wavelength required to solve Eus's brand until opening gull's post about it and seeing screenshots of the game arranged in an art program)
No problem. It's a brainbuster, for sure.
Unfortunately, you do have to take the long way back to the endgame, though getting everything necessary isn't so bad if you're going ham on your shortcut use.
... We would recommend you look up getting into the 'EX' levels as a sort of capstone to VS, but like. After you've sat and stewed on the game a while first. Let your time in the Void settle.
While I am kind of eager to go right back in and tackle the EX content i think you're right about it being a good idea to take a break here. i've been thinking about the game a lot over the past few weeks and now is probably a good natural stopping point lol
Yeah. Let the whole experience simmer. Allow your brain to draw connections and figure out your own thoughts on it all.
