everyone go home
decided to finally check out guilty gear (the missing link) because i got curious to actually see what all this is about firsthand, played through Normal Mode with Sol after giving everyone a try in Training. might mess around with the others in normal, see how their personal story setups from the manual go.
fun video game! fun video game. rough? sure. kind of unfinished? you know it. totally busted if you're gamer enough? absolutely, but i am nowhere NEAR gamer enough yet to play anything other than 'generally honestly'. but also this rules? i think this rules. feels good to play. had a good time Fighting and Winning Some. out of everyone not named Justice, i think i struggled against Ky the most? which seems fitting. these boys be intense rivals i should feel threatened by sol's goodguy
Justice absolutely fucking rips and tears though girl's bringin that "kills you, killing you immediately" vibe to the party that had me dying in increasingly Totally Eviscerated ways for several hours last night. local gull found dead in 22nd century massachusetts or whatever. my strategy of dash kick into slash > h.slash then backdash away worked uh, at least semi-consistently enough to score me the wins when i was paying enough attention
great music, good graphics, fun cast, glad i pored over (a pdf of) the manual for the Full Experience alongside messing around in training mode (even if i went and just looked at the dustloop wiki afterward because it's generally more content rich and bug wise than the manual)
