honestly? loving guilty gear missing link so far. i was drawn in by the potent blend of its kinda scrappy and homegrown aesthetic, its kind of unfinished not-exactly-super-well-balanced nature, and also the potent All The Buttons Do Something Different (as a still-a-fighting-game-playing-beginner i am drawn to this), and it has delivered on all of this for me. it feels like it was made to be a Fun Time even if not a Fair And Balanced one (literally death could be instant at any time!!) and i love that for it. hey, i'm certainly having a Fun Time - game's got that First Game Charm, with only the manual and the ending segments of each character's story to worry about plotwise, and that general kinda roughness that screams 'hey we haven't quite figured it all out yet but enjoy it anyway'. and i sure am enjoying it anyway
