so i was idly browsing the youtube app on my smarnt phoen when i saw an ad that was just like. two generated images over each other. generated cartoon toolguy in his generated cartoon workshop. and i find myself thinking that finally. this is it. these are images ordered by someone who doesn't care enough about what they're putting out to hire an actual artist or designer of any sort, printed from a stats machine that cannot care fed the data powering it by people that didn't care about the people that actually did any of it, filtered only to the extent of "passable to anyone that doesn't care enough to pay attention" and then shoved out to be clicked on by people that don't care to know what they're clicking. at no point did anybody give a damn at any step along this process
