looks like it was a change to the API that just fundamentally Borks the old client and just-so-happened to perfectly line up with the username change forcing, so. apparently folks working on modded kotlin-discord client Aliucord are working on a fix, so i'm going to see if i can switch over to that once they've pushed it
but still... fuck discord for moving android discord to RN in the first place, gang
