current OP goes insanely hard... current ED thus far maybe the only one ive actively decided to skip. sorry it kinda isnt all that good
certainly i do not think the show this go was as Honestly Good as last week's session, but i'm surprised seed's really kinda finding its footing in being Enjoyably Watchable in like the mid-late series. nicol was fifteen... he loved to play the piano.
athrun continues to be the standout, naturally, with mu la flaga remaining quite good as well. suprise winner this time goes to dearka - i think his time narrowly avoiding being the victim of a deadly hate crime aboard the archangel both ends up saying a lot about the head on his shoulders and about everyone else's state post-kira's-apparent-death. part of me wants a show where he really did die getting ass blasted into his seat by the aegisplosion, and the archangel's subsequent falling-apart as the friendgroup destabilizes from the inside without their whiny little guy
really liking the freedom and (what little ive seen of the) justice so far! finally kira has a machine that lets him wrap his stupid little idiot bitchboy head around blasting only the nonvital bits off robots with an Insane Laser Light Show that lets him do it to like everyone at once. i'll take kira yamato's overpowered magic laser everywhere spread of wonder and explosion over kira yamato's moping maybe a little too overly much about taking another life every couple episodes when he feels like it any day of the week - it's a lot of fun.
the turning of the political gears and the resulting events are very interesting, but like... as always, the politics themselves range from lacking to concerning. truly this is gundam seed, for real - i expected nothing less. mehears next time i'll finally get to meet the CEO OF RACISM...
(also: i think they tried to lay the groundwork for KiraxLacus, which.... man it just feels like it falls flat to me)
