what's up, gull and such here, recent "wait there's more than one of us" realizers. whoops!

still giant robot fans, still pmd: explorers enthusiasts. imagine we are wearing a big button that says "ask us about Void Stranger". you should play all the games we like right now. the media backlog continues to grow ever further, and finally fucking continuing Initial D slips further and further out of reach.....

@gull asked:

do you have any tips for someone interested in GMing a TTRPG themselves? i'm more worried about the 'integrating the system into things' part of handling it than the storytelling and roleplay end itself, coming mostly from doing freeform rp for a significant portion of my life that's an area i already have some experience in

Great question. There's a lot of ways I could answer this but I don't know enough about freeform these days to give tips tailored to that. I can try to make some statements about ttrpgs that might help though.

I've already answered a question on what to prep, or where to get started with making a dungeon. But for making sure the system gets integrated um, I think it helps to make a cheat sheet! It can be a bit of work but I have a cheat sheet for Robins where I copy and pasted the rules I needed on short notice from Songbirds and Robins because I didn't want to remember page numbers. If you are using a vtt like roll20 then you can just upload screenshots of the rules and just put them on the board. That way everyone has eyes on the rules at any time and can pick up when they should be included in play.

solution ...okay so now i'm just gonna put in a load of text that won't show up on-screen but should pad out the off-site embeds (like discord) enough that the solution won't actually get spoiled in the embed hopefully maybe. wouldn't it be great if cohost hid the spoiler tags from the embed text? i think that'd be neat. okay hopefully that's enough padding now fingers crossed. anyway if the embed is still going then *gasp* spoilers, the solution is SWAP ART STYLE
