realization: i cannot use c-clamps to attach things to my desk because my desk doesn't have enough overhang. i also have another desk, made of a different material, which has the same issue.
i didn't think i'd need a new desk this year, and i certainly didn't think that this would be why.
desks are rarely new with convenient timing, unfortunately
Could maybe destructively modify one if a new one is in the cards anyways?
yeah, i found one i can afford on amazon (and it's a good deal, post-thanksgiving sales and all) but my folks are trying to guilt me into screwing a piece of wood into the desk i have
just wish they better understood the support i need, so that they might get how reminding me how my income is limited and that i need a new job and ought to be looking harder for one and saving money in the mean time is not helpful
