@lexi

hi, im lexi! i post stuff here sometimes. i am a cs student, linux & computer nerd, and code quite a bit in rust, js (vanilla, TS, node, svelte), python, c++/c/(8051)asm, tibasic/z80asm, java, zsh/(ba)sh and a few esolangs. i do bug bounty hunting for fun, and like good mechanical keyboards & good audio equipment. i am neurodivergent, so tone indicators are appreciated. also, i'm aromantic, asexual and transfem, and speak english & german, and a little bit swedish.

also, i keep searching for specific posts and it might be useful for others, so here's a lexi post index, sorted into categories, in chronological order:

(note: kinda outdated, last updated 7ish months ago lol)

stuff i made, writeups & quality chosts:
other good chosts:
quality shitchosts:
css crimes & other cohost crimes:

also, if you like something feel free to comment! even small comments matter, and are important for the no-metrics approach that cohost does, and feel free to scroll through my posts, i don't bite :3 :eggbug:

You must log in to comment.

in reply to @lexi's post:

short answer: it uses <details><summary>, a native HTML feature. you can read about it on MDN, just copy and paste the first example into the cohost post composer and you'll see the magic :3

long answer: the answer above is not really true, because i implemented a mini markup language to store posts & render them into a details tag, but i have not written a single one of those by hand lol

it looks roughly like this:

--- stuff i made
thing one https://cohost.org/abc
thing two https://cohost.org/def
--- other section
other thing https://example.com

also, fun fact, the implementation of that markup language is included in the post as an (invisible, only in the developer tools/raw html visible) html comment! you can look at the source here :3

How did you add the little "private contact info" bit to your profile page? it's really nice and I was hoping to use a similar one!

It looked a little different than the tag (and I didn't seem to get html tags to work in my profile bio)

you can add links to your profile under edit profile > edit profile links, and you can set the visibility of links in the dropdown there. all with the "pages you follow" setting get collapsed into that :3
