i'd say im pretty good with computers, both high-level (i can build & deploy full-stack web apps, desktop apps, cli tools, libraries in various languages) and low-level (i know how a cpu works and how you can build one, know how to write a basic compiler etc.) and i can tell you that computers are magic boxes with wizardry inside

I am actually a programmer and a witch and yes, programming is spell work.
You need to give your computer the fear of death otherwise it will rebel.

If you let the magic smoke out, they stop working. Usually it escapes if you work the daemons too hard.
Isn't there some sort of type of witchcraft that deals with computers? I also remember some thing where you summon spirits with heavy computational functions...
We only know enough of a variety of programming languages to get ourselves in trouble, so we just stick to putting a weird literal spin on the catgirl trope by working for a Caterpillar dealer instead.
