garden and nature photos and such.

.

I post pictures of critters such as bugs, rodents and mushrooms/fungi and I don't use content warnings, but I do tag everything as best as I can. so if you would prefer to avoid seeing any specific subject, you can use the tag muffling/silencing feature.

.

I include alt text descriptions for all my images, if I ever forget to put one, please let me know.

three far away roe deer standing on the horizon

two far away deer, looking in my direction, questionable image quality

a blue tit perched high up in a tree

an egyptian goose standing in a field, also not great image quality but good enough to see identifying features

a silly "fancy" daffodil starting to bloom. it is light yellow with orange in the center

flowers of a forsythia shrub, they are bright yellow and the first one has just fully opened

I tried getting some pictures of the egyptian geese and the deer with my dad's little Coolpix B500 camera today. I don't have a tripod for it right now so I steadied it by resting it on a walking stick, which doesn't work all that well but it's definitely an improvement over the phone cam for these far away subjects.

the other two pics are of stuff growing in my garden. the silly daffodil is one I bought pre-sprouted and planted. the forsythia was already there and it is, of course, blooming way too early in the year. forsythia doesn't produce any nectar, pollen or fruit and it just exists to look pretty and gay for a couple weeks a year, which I find inspiring. I'll def try to get some more plants in there that are actually good for wildlife though.
