The following pictures are from yesterday. I was hanging out a little bit with the cow boys. They really like apples and they must have devoured all that were on the ground in their orchard pasture. Fernando is the biggest apple fan out of the current group, this is him trying to get me to give him some more:

boy who is a cow named Fernando, snoot close up, motion blurred, with a "do you have games on your phone??" kinda vibe

There's another big apple tree just outside their fence and they were trying to reach for the fallen fruit there. I gave them a few. They took them right out of my hand.

cow boys Fernando, Paisley and Leonardo with their heads down on their pasture by the fence. Fernando is trying to reach underneath the fence towards some apples that have fallen to the ground there.

Paisley standing and looking at me while Fernando is rubbing his head against Leonardo's shoulder

post sunset sky over the trees next to the fallow field. the sky is mostly clear, with some wispy clouds and some orange tinted haze near the horizon

The last 2 pics are from today, hot and dry still. We are slowly moving into the beginning of autumn, that and the drought are contributing to crunchy leaves on the ground.

the sky over the fallow field a bit before sunset. the sun is glaringly bright and the sky is cloudless, with just a bit of haze at the horizon

a tall oak tree framed by other trees in the evening sunlight. some of the leaves are just starting to get some autumn colours.
